Event
Aderant Innovate is our first internal hackathon where teams collaborate to build innovative solutions that align with our "Small Hacks, Big Impact" theme. It's an opportunity to work with colleagues across the organization, learn new skills, and create something meaningful.
Event runs Tuesday, December 2nd at 8:30 AM through Thursday, December 4th at 6:00 PM.

AI Summit
AI workshops run Tuesday, December 2nd (1:30 PM - 6:00 PM) covering introduction, tools, framework, and live coding. Wednesday, December 3rd (9:30 AM - 12:30 PM) covers advanced topics: testing, agents, context engineering, and MCP integration. Great opportunity to learn AI tools for your hackathon project.

Development
You are free to use any technology stack you prefer! Use whatever programming languages, frameworks, or tools that work best for your project. However, all projects should align with the "Small Hacks, Big Impact" theme.
Yes! You can use open-source libraries, frameworks, and boilerplate code. However, the core functionality and innovation of your project should be original work created during the hackathon.
Your project should be functional enough to demonstrate the core concept and value proposition. It doesn't need to be production-ready, but judges should be able to see it work and understand the impact.
We'll have mentors and technical support available throughout the event. Don't hesitate to ask for help in the event channels or reach out to organizers.

Each team gets access to a dedicated AWS account with a variety of pre-configured resources including:

No, AWS resources are isolated and do not have spending limits.
Yes! You can use external APIs, services, or platforms (like Vercel, Railway, etc.) as long as they fit within your project needs. However, you'll need to manage any costs or accounts yourself.
Submissions
A complete submission consists of three key components:
All submissions must be completed by 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 4th. No late submissions will be accepted, so plan accordingly!
Each team can submit only one project. Focus your efforts on creating one high-quality, impactful solution rather than multiple smaller ones.

Navigate to the Teams page from the Hackathon menu. Click 'Create New Team' and provide a unique team name. You'll receive an access code that you can share with teammates to invite them to join your team.Teams can have 1-3 members depending on your project scope.
Yes, you can leave a team and join another one.
Breakfast, lunch, and snack breaks will be provided for all attendees Tuesday through Thursday, and dinner will be provided on Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday will be a free night for team or group dinners. Tuesday night dinners can be expensed, but must not exceed the per diem rate.
